Our legacy

More than 100 years and three generations later, MONIN remains a thriving and steadfast family business.

Our entrepreneurial spirit and energy, coupled with a relentless pursuit for superior quality, are why we’ve made MONIN products for more than 100 years.”

Olivier MONIN

a family legacy

MONIN’s story began in 1912 when Georges Monin pursued his passion for flavour and set out to craft syrups designed to amplify beverages and desserts. What started as one man’s commitment to quality and creativity has grown into a family legacy spanning generations.

MONIN syrup was born.

The sharing of craft expertise and treasured family recipes has shaped our journey from the very beginning. With every generation, we safeguard the integrity of our flavours, while adapting and innovating alongside the evolution in tastes and cultures.

From the Art of Flavours to the World of Hospitality

Over the decades, MONIN has evolved from its original syrup craft into a diverse collection of flavour concentrates, fruit purées and innovative beverage ingredients, consistently redefining the boundaries of flavour creativity.

MONIN’s legacy in the UK & Ireland is built on partnership – with our teams, our customers and the hospitality community we serve.

We honour our heritage by staying relentlessly curious, bringing inspiration, innovation and practical solutions that help professionals create memorable moments in every glass.
